Louis "Newman" Yarbrough

Funeral services for Louis "Newman" Yarbrough, 60, will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial to follow at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport. Visitation will be held prior to funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Officiating the service will be Doctor Freddie Williford. Newman was born on November 14, 1959 to Louis Biggs Yarbrough and Mildred Rowland Yarbrough in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Newman attended Friendship Academy and graduated in 1977. He then began his career with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for 10 years. His lifelong dream was to be a part of the United States Navy. He fulfilled that dream by proudly serving in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. Newman is preceded in death by his parents; He is survived by his daughters, Alexis Cole (Morgan) and M'llissa Yarbrough; Sister, Linda Nicholson (Steve); niece, Christy Giglio (Sam); nephew, Craig Nicholson (Lesley) and two great-nieces and two great-nephews. Honoring Newman as pallbearers will be Parnell Holt, Bill Duncan, Cliff Chenault, Sam Giglio and Jim Wood. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Steve Nicholson and Brad Patterson.
