Louise Courtney

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Brazzel Courtney will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Arcadia. Pastor Steven Palmer will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Louise was born November 29, 1929, in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Charles and Dollie Huddleston Brazzel. She entered into rest on Monday, March 6, 2023, in Dupont, Louisiana. Louise was a loving, faithful, and generous person. She loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted Christian. Her church family was always one of her biggest joys. She loved traveling on the bus trips with her friends, meeting friends for a good cup of coffee, and always having her dark chocolate kisses.

Louise is preceded by her husband, Jack Calvin Courtney; parents, Charles and Dollie Mae Brazzel; sisters, Jean B. McCann and Josephine B. Bennett; and by brother, William “Dub” Brazzel.

Those left to cherish her memories, step daughter, Sandy Thornton; sister, Allie Mae McClendon; brother, D.D. Brazzel; step grandchildren, Toby Partain, Andy Partain, and Jason Thornton, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and by a host of other nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Honoring Louise as pallbearers will be Andy Partain, Jack Land, Tim Brazzel, Frank Brazzel, Toby Brazzel, and Hutton Daniels.
