Louise Moore

Shreveport, LA. - Funeral services celebrating the life of Louise Hooker Moore, aged 88 will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow Forest Park-West Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 17^th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moore was born in Shreveport, La. on May 17, 1927 to Murnon and Essie Luther Hooker and passed away on February 15, 2016 at the residence. Mrs. Moore loved going to church, walking, exercising, drawing, reading and working puzzle books with her husband, Henry.

Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her parents, Murnon and Essie Hooker; son, Richard "Dickey" Hamlet; brothers, Leon Hooker, Henry Hooker, Jack Hooker and Junior Hooker and sisters, Maxwaynn Tant and Annette MacFarland. She is survived by her spouse of 5 ½ years, Henry Moore; son: Myrl Hamlet; daughters, Charlene Hamlet, Joy Birch and husband, Kenny; step-daughters, Carolyn Thomas and Barbara Lee. Mrs. Moore is also survived by her grandchildren, Craig Hamlet, Angie Hamlet, Holly Champion, Jonathan Hamlet, Heather Williams, 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Virginia "Sis" Greer, Barbara Prescott, Cherry Gail Burson and husband, Kenneth.

Louise was a very kind, loving individual who brought happiness to those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
