Funeral services celebrating the life of Louise Onishea will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Coushatta Chapel. Reverend James Nails will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic (Spanish Lake) Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Coushatta, Louisiana.
Louise was born May 6, 1927, in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana to Fred and Mary Davis Irvin and entered into rest on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She was a housewife, and her biggest passion was cooking and tending to her roses and garden. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pelican, where she always enjoyed being. She will be forever loved and remembered.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Jesse Onishea; parents; son, Jesse James Onishea; son-in-law, Bob Young; and all of her brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Norman Onishea and wife, Jean, Herbert Onishea, and Wayne Onishea; daughters, Shirley Young, Mary French and husband, Ronnie, and Kathy Thomasee and husband, Wayne; sister, Betty Alford; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Honoring Louise as pallbearers will be Allen Walker, Ryan French, Evan French, Cory Smiley, Jared Dodd, and Jordan Thompson.
