BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Etta Louise "Tootie" Foster will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Jerrell Head, pastor of Landmark Baptist Church in Stonewall, LA. Assisting will be Bro. Jeff Joyner and Bro. David McCormick. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her grandson, Thomas. Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.
Louise was born on March 9, 1926 near Lexa, AR and passed away July 29, 2015 at her daughter's home in Bossier City. Mother never met a stranger. In 1992 she retired from the Barton-Lexa School System after 26 years of service. She moved to Bossier to make her home near her daughter and her family in May of 1999. For 14 years straight, Mother won ribbons for her crochet and knitting items, at the Louisiana State Fair. Louise was an only child and was lovingly known for her nicknames, "Tootie" and "Butterfly".
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Thomas and Inez Tisdale Willis and grandson, Thomas Edwin Caldwell.
She is survived by her only child, Theresa Caldwell and husband, Lester; granddaughter, Leslie P. Caldwell; grandson, Timothy Caldwell and wife, Danielle, all of Bossier City; great grandsons, Brandon Lee Staton, Thomas Joseph Staton, Waylon Randall Caldwell, Nolan Anthony Caldwell and her faithful little dog, Buddy.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Timothy Caldwell, Brandon Staton, Daryll McGaffey, Marty Pruitt, Darryl Pruitt, Tim Pruitt, John Park and Jeff Staton. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Reyna.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Karla Avery, Karen Noren and Paxton Ross for their care over the past year.
