Louise Thomas

Louise Elizabeth Anderson Thomas entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2025, at the age of 99. She lived a life full of love, faith, and generosity, leaving behind a remarkable legacy that will continue to impact all who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, Louise was known for her unwavering commitment to her family and her faith in God.

Born on October 5, 1925, in rural Mississippi, Louise was the beloved daughter of Ike Anderson and Myrtie Redden. From a young age, she was instilled with the values of hard work, family, and faith, all of which guided her throughout her life. Louise’s faith was the foundation of her character. She was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ, and her life was a reflection of the love, grace, and compassion that Christ embodies. She was a faithful member of her church and spent her life serving others through both small and large acts of kindness, always guided by her deep trust in God’s plan.

As an adult, Louise moved to Louisiana, where she met and married Travis Thomas. Their marriage was one of love, devotion, and mutual respect, and together they created a family filled with warmth, joy, and faith. Together they welcomed a daughter into their family and together they built a home centered on the values of love and faith in Christ. In addition to her daughter, Louise was also blessed with four bonus children from her marriage to Travis, whom she loved dearly.

Throughout her life, Louise was known for her hospitality and generosity. Whether it was offering a kind word, providing a warm meal, or offering a helping hand, Louise was always there for those in need. But perhaps the most profound way she touched the lives of others was through her faith. She lived out the love of Christ daily, through her acts of kindness, her words of encouragement, and her steadfast belief in the power of prayer. Her faith in God was unwavering, and she found strength, peace, and purpose in her relationship with Him. Louise was a true servant of God, always looking for ways to share His love with others, and her legacy of faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Louise was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Vertis Sasser (Nanny and Papa); her parents, Ike Anderson and Myrtie Redden; her brother, Ike Anderson Jr.; her beloved husband, Travis Thomas; and many other close family members.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances Harper and husband Larry; her four bonus children, Travis Dayton Thomas and wife Diane, Peggy Curry and husband James, Jackie Thomas and wife Paula, and John Edwin Thomas; 15 grandchildren: Travis Zappa, Caleb Zappa and wife Amanda, John Porter and wife Kristy, David Porter, Teresa Porter, Megan Granelli and husband Nick, Bree Randle and husband Blake, Amy Snodgrass and husband Troy, Janna Birkner and husband Jack, Carroll Grimes and husband Micheal, Jeremy Thomas and wife Mandy, Jackie Lane Thomas II and wife Shannon, Ashley Moore and husband Dave, Lauren Malloy and husband Paul, John Thomas and wife Kaila; 9 great-grandchildren: Addeson Zappa, Makenzie Zappa, Whitney Zappa, Colten Zappa, Dallas Zappa, Hazel Deluna, Christopher Porter, Brittany Porter, and Alexis Porter; as well as 20 bonus great-grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember Louise for her deep faith, her love for others, and her commitment to living out the teachings of Christ in every aspect of her life.
