Louise Stanley Youngblood, 94, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 19, 2023. The family will be receiving friends at Airline Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on May 25, 2023, with a service to follow.
Louise was born in Goodwill, Louisiana, on August 14, 1928, to Dee Edward Stanley and Carrie Burton Stanley. She was raised in Doyline, Louisiana, with four brothers, Clyde, James, Felix, and Bill Stanley. She married the love of her life, Revis B. Youngblood, Sr. They were married 63 years before his death in 2010. Louise loved music all her life and was an organist/pianist at First Baptist Church in Doyline before moving to Bossier City in 1972. She was an organist/pianist at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier for 25 years before retiring in 2019 due to health problems.
Momma was a sweet and kindhearted lady who showed her love for the Lord daily, even through times of heartache and sadness. She will be remembered for her ability to help those in need and supportive to all. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was unsurpassed, shown by the sadness of Nana being gone. We all know that the tears and pain are gone, and she has seen Jesus face to face. A family friend said that the Lord has a golden piano waiting for her so she can welcome all her family and friends.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers; son, Christopher Youngblood; and great-grandson, Jake Ewing.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Karen Y. Farrar and husband, Ronnie; sons, Revis B. Youngblood, Jr. and wife, Frances, and Mark Youngblood and wife, Kay; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Louise as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brad Ewing, Jason Smith, Brian Thornton, Bo Youngblood, Nathan Youngblood, and Trevor Youngblood. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chris Dunlap, Ed Lacy, John Castore, Harold Addy, Judge Tommy Wilson, Jr., Ken Bush, Charles Anderson, and Jerry Elkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to Airline Baptist Church, 4007, Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana 71111, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
We will miss you, Momma, our treasured mother, Nana, friend, and our family matriarch. See you in Heaven one day!
