Lucy was born on January 20, 1945, to Reynoldo and Anselma Perez in Bradley, Arkansas, and went to live with her lord and savior on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

Sister Lucy was a kind-hearted, good-natured, God-loving woman, that was a faithful member of Gospel Lighthouse Church for 20 years. It was there she dedicated her time, love, and life to serving Jesus and others. She touched a lot of lives through her love of the lord. She sang many specials, loved working VBS, cleaned the church and even cut the grass. She gave her love to those she interacted with freely but her husband of 43 years, Robert Norman, held her heart. Together they worked side by side running their own business for 28 years. She loved hearing her husband sing to her and enjoyed watching Gun Smoke with him. Although she never had children, she was a loving, nurturing mother to her five stepsons, whom she treated as her own. As illness crept in and took away her health; her spirit, heart, and ability to love never wavered. She had many who came to see and visit her while she was fighting to get better but one special visitor came to bond with her and sneak her Hershey Kisses while they giggled and played together. Her five year old great-niece, Rosie, brought her much unexpected joy in her time of discomfort.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe Perez Jr. and Jessie Perez, and nephew, Jeffery Perez. She is survived by her husband, Robert Norman; sister, Esther Harris and husband, Jeff; brothers, Eddie Perez and wife, Kay and Phillip Perez and wife, Dana; nieces, Samantha Hall, Dallas Perez and Nina Campbell and husband, Doug; brother-in-law, Tony Pope; nephews, P.J. Perez and wife, Maty, James Perez and Anthony Thompson; great-niece, Roseali “Rosie” Bray and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and loved ones.

Honoring Sister Lucy as pallbearers will be Anthony Thompson, Doug Campbell, James Perez, Jesse James, P.J. Perez and Terry Bray. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Brother Jimmy Free.

The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Town and Country Rehab in Minden, Louisiana for the care and compassion they gave to Lucy and her loved ones.
