Lucille (Lou) Gates

Lucille (Lou) Gates, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed from this life to the one she was meant for at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Gates; her parents, Jewel and Ida Lamar; her sister, Lajuan King; and her three brothers, Floyd, Leonard, and Chester Lamar.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Patty and Bill Hurst; her son, Mike and Gayla Gates, her three grandsons, Jeremy and Caitlin Hurst, Aaron and Joy Gates, and Brooks Gates; and her granddaughter, Candace Foster and John. She also has eight great-grandchildren, Aidan Foster, Owen Foster, Xilah Hurst, Callie Gates, Avery Gates, Archer Gates, Ryder Gates, and Maverick Gates.

Lucille dearly loved her husband and family. She was blessed to be with them for a Thanksgiving gathering this year, shortly before her death. She was always up for a board or table game. Not only was she devoted to her family but was supremely devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved attending and participating in several churches in the Arkansas towns she lived in throughout her lifetime.
