Lucille "Cindy" Watson

Services for Mrs. Lucille "Cindy" Watson, 87, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in the chapel at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St. in Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery East. The visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the service begins on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Mrs. Watson was born September 23, 1927 in Ida, LA, to Barney and Annie Means Westmoreland. She went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2015, in Shreveport, LA. Cindy married the love of her life, W.B. "Dub" Watson, Jr., on May 26, 1946. They spent forty-two wonderful years together until his passing on September 19, 1988. She was a resident of Bossier City, LA, where she worked as a bank teller for many years. Her banking career included Pioneer Bank, National Bank of Bossier and Red River Bank. She also worked at the Shreveport Housing Authority. She thoroughly enjoyed her banking career; but her absolute favorite vocation of all was being "Granny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which she lovingly called her "sweethearts". She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three sisters, Billie Ponder, Julie Bain and Liz Reed. Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her two sons, Paul Watson and wife, Kathy and John Watson and wife, Sandra; siblings, Margaret Gardner, Barney Westmoreland, Jr., Jim Westmoreland, Kay Stifle and Doug Westmoreland; grandchildren, Rob and Kelly Watson, Carrie Moore, Matt and Bridget Watson, Daniel and Joann Watson, Christopher and Annalea Watson; great-grandchildren, Jacob Moore, Ava and Riley Watson, Alexander Bryant Watson, Zack Watson and his wife, CC; and great-great-grandson Logan Watson.
