Lucy Mae Bridges

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Lucy Mae Bridges, 94, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Prucey. Interment will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Lucy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014. She was born to Vito and Josephine Cashio in Fordoche, LA on October 19, 1920. She was raised by her grandparents, Charles and Rose Siggio Cashio in Port Arthur, TX. She married Thomas A. Bridges in 1941. She was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Thomas Bridges; and husband, Thomas A. Bridges. She is survived by her sons, Gayle B. McFarland and wife Cindy and Daniel D. McFarland and wife Carolyn; daughters, Andrea Woodall and husband, Nolan, Sandrea Reich and husband, Rickey, and Judy Cheshire; sister, Mary Katherine "Nona" Morrison; sister-in-law, Rose Cashio; grandchildren, Jonathan Reich and wife, Sammie, Thomas Reich and wife, Emily, Micah Cheshire and wife, Katie, Danielle McFarland, Joshua McFarland, Lucretia McFarland, Laura McFarland, Zachary McFarland, Graham McFarland and Virginia Woodall; and 11 great-grandchildren. Honoring Lucy as pallbearers will be Gayle B. McFarland, Daniel D. McFarland, Jonathan D. Reich, Thomas A. Reich, Joshua J. McFarland, Zachary P. McFarland, and Micah Cheshire.
