Lula Belle Pierce David, 94, of Logansport, LA, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born in Shepperd, TX on May 30, 1920 to Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Pierce.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters Ozelle Ariola, of Houston, TX and Deborah Wilkinson and husband Howard of Logansport, LA, daughter-in-law Sandra David of Logansport, LA; grandchildren Paige Gates and husband Kristopher, Brooke Lowe and husband Bradley, Miki and husband Joey Dyess, Kevin Ariola, Francie Woods and husband Lance, Dandi Holloway, Chance David and wife Julie, and Courtney Averett and husband Brian; great grandchildren Jordan and Kaden Lowe, Shelbi Hutto and husband Michael, Morgan Dyess, Haley and Sally Ariola, Willie, Katie and Bonnie Woods, Lucinda David, Lilly and Hadlee Averett, C.J. and Justin Collier and Bryer Holloway; special niece and nephew Jerry and Nelta Anderson; special friends Veador McClure and Johnny Pearl Austin; 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.P. Pierce; husband W.B. "Hookie" David; daughter Joyce Wooden; son Freddie Paul David; son-in-law Elwyn Ariola; grandson Willie Ariola; siblings Doshie Fisher, Lawrence Pierce, Sr., Frank "Red" Pierce and Essie "Dimples" Rogers.
She was an avid gardener, quilter, and homemaker. She loved spending outdoors and raising cattle. L. B. loved flowers and reading the Bible. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and she left her mark on everyone she met. She was always cooking something and don't ask what it was unless you wanted to hear "what the little boy shot at."

Services are being held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM followed by burial at O. E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, LA.
