Macario Lopez

Funeral services for Macario Lopez will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Rosary will be at 9:15 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Reverend Duane Trombetta. Macario was born March 10, 1940, in Brownsville, Texas, born and raised by Juan Lopez and Natalia Lopez Avila and passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, in Bossier City, Louisiana at the age of 81. Macario was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sofia Lopez. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Lopez Thogmartin and husband, David, Cynthia Lopez Quattrone and husband, Timothy and Patricia Lopez Fertitta and husband, Joseph; grandchildren, Blake Cohen and wife, Katie, Haley Cohen Cordaro and husband Matthew, Lee Quattrone and wife, Rachel, Katie Quattrone; great-grandchildren, Sophia Cohen, Genevieve Cohen, Christopher Cohen, Brigid Cohen, Abel Nolan, Annabelle Quattrone, Francis Quattrone, Henry Quattrone and Kennedy Cordaro; two sisters and one brother. Honoring Macario as pallbearers will be David Thogmartin, Timothy Quattrone, M.D., Joseph Fertitta, Matthew Cordaro, Chris Brewster, Neal McMahon, Blake Cohen and Lee Quattrone. The family suggests memorials may be made to Rolling Hills Ministries, 517 Benton Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana 71111.
