Mack M. Beaird, Jr. (Sonny)

Mack M. Beaird, Jr. (Sonny) passed away on April 12, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on July 25, 1935, in Mansfield, Louisiana to Mack McKinney and Ella Lafitte Beaird.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. service time on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, Frierson, LA 71027. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Opbroek. Honoring Mack as pallbearers will be Josh Beaird, Dillon Beaird, Chase Crowder, Jon Hobbs, Lance Beaird, and Tony Burton.

Mack graduated from Byrd High School. He retired as manager of Kroger Grocery and worked at Roger Christian Realty for years. Mack loved riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. He was a devoted Christian who followed Jesus and loved to tell everyone about the good Lord.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents; and sons, Steve and Johnathan Beaird. He is survived by his son, Lance Beaird; sister, Gladys Beaird Clinton; six grandchildren, Josh, Sarah, Dillon, April, Brittany, Cheyenne and numerous great-grandchildren.
