Mae Palmer Perdue

Mae Palmer Perdue was born April 15, 1919 and went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2017. Mae was born to William Julius and Merle Mae Homann in Kennedy, TX. She is preceded in death by Rev. E. Leo Palmer and J.C. Perdue, and her sisters and brothers. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Palmer Scott (Charles); Betty Palmer Prudhome; Dr. R.L. "Skip" Palmer; Rev. Gary E. Palmer (Linda); Joan Palmer; and Debbie Palmer Morgan (Keith). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandchild; sister- in- law; Audrey Homann; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mae also leaves behind a multitude of friends that she always considered as part of our family. Mae enjoyed playing the piano and organ, singing, and serving the Lord which she faithfully did for as long as she was physically able. As the matriarch of her family she loved participating in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Pallbearers are grandsons Michael Prudhome, Dr. David Prudhome, Rick Palmer, Tim Palmer, Layton Palmer, Scott Head, Randy Horton and Matthew Preciado. The Family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Southern Hills Nursing Home and Life Path Hospice for their care. We would also like to thank her many friends, and ours, who offered prayer support and love through the years. In lieu of flowers please donate to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, Stonewall, LA or Stonewall Cemetery Association, Stonewall, LA. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church in Stonewall, LA. Rev. John Harp will be officiating. Interment will be held at the Stonewall Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. prior to the service.
