Mamie was born on November 5, 1934 in Braggs, Oklahoma to Lee and Susie Ellis and joined her heavenly family and gained her wings on Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mamie was a military wife for 25 years, had four children but was a loving mother to many. She was a local business owner but due to her loving nature of caring for people, she chose to get certified to take care of other families loved ones. She enjoyed her final years retired and spending her time listening to Billy Graham\'s sermons and spending quality time with her family.
Mamie was very passionate about her family and made her home the glue for all family members to come together. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, it was her way of expressing her love. Her words of encouragement, wisdom and sometimes comfort kept us in line and gave us something to pass down to our children.
