Mandy Ruple

Funeral services were held for Mandy Minchew Ruple, 74, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert McGaha officiating. Interment will followed at Ruple Cemetery, 4690 Hwy. 534, Homer. Mandy as born April 6, 1942 in Monroe to Wes Minchew and Alice Calvit Minchew. She entered into rest Friday, October 14th at Claiborne Memorial Medical Center in Homer following a short illness. Mandy, a self-employed hairdresser for 30 years, was a member of the Ruple Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, flower gardening, cross stitching and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Byron "Bud" Ruple; her parents; also one sister, Shirley McKenzie. Mandy is survived by one son, James Ruple and wife Karen of Colquitt; two daughters, Allison Bridges and Christi Holt and husband Chris; one brother, William Wesley "Buddy" Minchew and wife, Francis, all of Homer; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. For friends considering memorials honoring Mandy, her family suggest St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
