Marcell Register

Marcell Register, 82, peacefully entered Heaven on August 27, 2023. She was born August 10, 1941, in Buna, Texas, to the late Julien Stewart and Johnnie (Williams) Stewart. She attended Logansport High School in Logansport, Louisiana.

Marcell worked many years as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in the Shreveport-Bossier area. She primarily worked in geriatric home health care, and she was compassionate with her patients. She was witty, loved to make people laugh, and was an avid reader.

Marcell is survived by her children, Cary Register (Lindy), Brian Cooper Register, Tana Register, Richard "Puddy" Register (Idele), and Delane "Bib" Register. In addition to her children, Marcell is also survived by her twin sister, Merle Butler and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Charlsie Odom and Joe Ann Creech, and brother, James Rann "Bud" Stewart.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St., Mansfield, Louisiana.
