Marcia Weaver

Funeral services will be held for Marcia Weaver, age 86 at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Her nephew Rev. Brian Opbroek will officiate. The interment will follow immediately at Little Hope Cemetery, in Bienville, LA. Visitation will be held Monday, January 1, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Arcadia, LA. Arcadia - Marcia was born June 30, 1931 in Bienville, LA, to Wilson and Robie Linton Bates. She entered into rest on December 27, 2017, in Lake Jackson, TX. Marcia met her husband Mack in Arcadia while working at the cotton mill. Once married they lived the normal military life full of travel. Upon retiring the decided to come home and down back where their love story began in Arcadia. The two lived there for more than twenty years together and were active members of the First Baptist Church of Arcadia. Marcia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Marcia is preceded in death by her husband Mac Weaver, son Mack Weaver, and great grandson Weston Robbins. She is survived by her son Jim Weaver and wife Lynda, daughter Susan Kaspar and husband Kenneth, nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Robert Poland, Mike Locke, Trey Poland, John Robbins, Kory Kaspar and Austin Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Norris, Dudley Hay and Kenneth Kasper.
