Marcus "Mark" Pilgreen

Services for Marcus "Mark" Pilgreen, 92, will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Brother Rick McDonald officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Centuries Memorial Park following services with military honors. Mark was born March 17, 1925 to William and Ada Pilgreen in Marion, LA and left to be with his Lord and Savior on September 20, 2017. He received his Masters in Math and Science at LA Tech and a Doctorate in Education at Northwestern State University. Mark retired from Caddo parish schools as principle and teacher. He was also a former employee at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mark was preceded in death by numerous sisters and one brother. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Joyce Fern Pilgreen; son, Ronnie Pilgreen; daughter, Sherry Pilgreen Allen and husband Randy; granddaughter, Holly Taylor; great grandchildren, Davison Dorriety, Grace Taylor and Ally Taylor. Pallbearers will be Steve Hubbard, Joe Garcia, Blake Henderson, Richard Norwood, Doug Robertson and Jerry Norwood. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Allen and Billy George McKinney.
