Margaret June Anderson

KEATCHIE, LA - Funeral services for Margaret June Anderson McLemore, 88, will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Summer Grove Cemetery. Officiating is Pastor Roger Morton of Barron Road Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. June was born in Shreveport, LA on January 29, 1929 to Alvah Ray and Neomi Elizabeth Boswell Anderson, and went to be with her Lord and Savior April 10, 2017. She attended Engleside, Grawood, Union Springs, and Barron Road Baptist Churches. June was a faithful church member and sang in the choir, was the youth choir leader. She was the Chair of the Benevolence Committee and Housebound Ministry sharing recorded sermons. June had a Masters in Special Education and taught in the Caddo Parish School District. June was preceded in death by her loving husband, Emmanual "Mac" McLemore, Jr., her parents, brother, Dr. Jack Anderson, and Raymond Anderson. She is survived by her sisters, Betty Jo McLemore, and Joy Ann Gathright; daughters, Cherryl M. Rowell and Kerryl M. Herring; grandsons, Brian Mac Christy and Mark Q. Herring; 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Honoring June as pallbearers will Justin D. Morse, Jonathan W. Morse, Andrew D. Morse, and Thomas Ray Gathright.
