SHREVEPORT, LA- A funeral service for Margaret W. Atkins, 84, will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Neath Southside Chapel with Brother Magee and Brother Berry from United Pentecostal Church officiating. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside between 5-7 p.m. Tuesday August 8, 2017. Interment at 3:00 p.m. following funeral services at the cemetery in Vivian, Louisiana.
Margaret graduated from Northwestern State College. She retired from Willis Knighton, her one and only job, after 34 years as an RN delivering babies.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Naomi Webber; and sister, Mary Audleman. Left to cherish her memories are her son, James Atkins; daughters, Janet Reppond (Jace), and Judy Futch; sister, Carol W. Morgan (Sherman); and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be John Cole, Johnny Cole, Scott Reppond, Jace Reppond, Tyler Barr, and Brandon Hutto.
A special thanks to Guest House for their four months of love and care. She was a beloved mother, friend, and sister in Christ, and will be greatly missed.
