Margaret Ann Dampier

Minden, LA Margaret Ann (Jones-Luck) Dampier passed away at her home on February 20, 2018, in Minden, Louisiana. She was born in Baton Rouge on July 21, 1940, to Casey and Jennie Jones. She was a graduate of Minden High School in 1958. She went on to graduate from Louisiana Tech with a degree in education. She would then become an educator for many children over the span of 29 years. Margaret loved music. She was a member of the MHS Band and the Louisiana Tech Band of Pride where she played the French horn and was the head drum major. Cooking and sewing were passions of hers that she loved to share with everyone. She was also a lover of dogs. "Ginger" and "Buddy" will miss her greatly. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Becky Jones and first husband, Robert "Joe" Luck, the father of her son. She is survived by her husband, John; her son Kevin Luck and his wife Tracy, and their daughter, Hannah Claire. Margaret was laid to rest on February 21, 2018 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery following a service surrounded by close family and friends. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Aime Hospice Care for their care and patience. A special thank you to Cathy Smith for her love and care she so generously gave to Margaret. Memorials may be made to The First United Methodist Church in Minden or donor's choice.
