Shreveport, LA - Celebration of Life service for Margaret Ann Beaird DeMoss, 82, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 1, 2015, in the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, with Dr. Greg Davis officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Evergreen Cemetery in Frierson, LA.
The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Thursday, April 30, 2015, from the hours of 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Rose-Neath Southside.
Mrs. Margaret was born February 24, 1933, in Shreveport, LA, to the late Thomas Lavert and Velma Catherine LeGrand Beaird and was called to her Heavenly home on April 27, 2015, in Shreveport, LA. She enjoyed praising her Lord and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. Margaret loved the Lord, had a big heart and would do without to care for others. She was a caregiver and always was at the hospital for those in need. She was a very outspoken individual and had a free giving spirit about her. Mrs. Margaret gave 10 years of dedicated service to Shreveport Auto Finance and 25 years to Valley Gin. She was devoted to Agriculture from bookkeeping to field working and operating tractors. Mrs. Margaret was always supportive of her family in their endeavors. She took great pride in her gardening and would pick it herself so others wouldn't mess up her garden. Mrs. Margaret was a hard worker and will be remembered as the great mother, sister and aunt and friend that she was.
Mrs. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Johnny Charles DeMoss and one brother, Thomas L. Beaird Jr. Left to cherish the beautiful memories that Mrs. Margaret leaves behind are her two sons, James DeMoss and Fiancée Cara LaCaze, Charles and Alicia DeMoss, one granddaughter, Sara DeMoss, one sister, Marie Hines Wells; along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.
Honoring Mrs. Margaret as pallbearers will be Kenneth Hines, Thomas Hines, Tommy Beaird, Mark Johnson, Russell Long and Denny DeMoss.
