Margaret Virginia Sermons

A graveside service for Margaret Virginia Sermons, 95, will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cool Springs Cemetery, 3943 Marshall Road, Logansport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be McKee Williams.
 
Margaret was born on March 23, 1929, in Logansport, Louisiana to Raymond and Beatron Stone and passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Shreveport.
 
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Beatron Stone; sister, Nelda Heyen; and brothers, Bill Stone, Oliver Stone, and Douglas Stone. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James P. Barnett and wife, Cynthia, and Raymond Bruce Barnett; daughter, Patty Sermons; and sister, Betty Strong.
 
Honoring Margaret as pallbearers will be Steve Stone, Dennis Johnson, Randy Stone, Donnie Heyen, and Matthew Barnett.
 
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Garden Park Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion given to Margaret.
