Mansfield, LA - Marie's deceased husband Thomas R. Chowns took Marie to celebrate his birthday with the angels on the 27^th of April, 2016. She was born on February 28, 1932 in Mansfield, LA. She was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Margie L Porter Howell. Preceded in death was her husband Thomas R. Chowns married February 11, 1948 in Mansfield, LA and her brother Tom Henry Howell. Marie was very active in her community. She worked at Central Commercial for 10 years in the Lady's Ready To Wear, a volunteer Pink Lady and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son Steve Chowns and wife Linda; daughters, Kaye DeVoe and husband Dude, Karen Eads and husband Chris, all of Kingman, AZ. She has 6 grandchildren, Chip DeVoe and wife Teraof Big Pine Key, FL, Mark DeVoe and wife Robin of Key West, FL, Boogie Chowns and wife Angie of Mountain Green, Utah, Biz Chowns of Frierson, LA, Eddie Eads and wife Deana Eads of Kingman, AZ, Belienda Schultz of Westchester, IL; 19 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and one due in August, Two sisters, Rena Britt of Mansfield, LA and Betty Hollandand husband Dave Hollandof Walland, Tenn. The family would like to thank KRMC Hospice Center for the wonderfule care and Rose Bruce for her special care. Marie will be taken home to Mansfield, LA and buried at aimwell Cemetery in Zwolle, LA.
