Leta Marie Shows Council, 82, of Arcadia, LA passed away on Wednesday, September 27 in Arcadia. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia, LA. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 29 at Rose-Neath. Rev. Stephen Boyd and Rev. Freddie Shows will officiate. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Cemetery. Marie was born March 12, 1935 in Jonesboro, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband James Wesley Council; her parents, Pinkney and Verda Shows; and brothers, William "Bill" Shows, Charles F. Shows, and JM Shows. She is survived by her children, Terry Council and wife Sharon of Arcadia, Sue C. Price and husband John of Ruston, Michael E. Council of Natchitoches, Debbie C. Greene and husband David of Arcadia, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous family and friends. Pallbearers will be John Price, Jr., Bruce Price, Micah Barnette, Jason Council, Wesley Council, Jimmy Hyatt, Seth Greene, and Phillip Picou. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Council, Craig Greene, Wayne Patton, and Jay Barnette. The family would like to thank Magnolia Home Health, Willow Ridge Nursing Home, and Premier Hospice for all the love and care that was given to their mother. Memorials may be made to Arcadia Church of Christ.
