Marie Carroll Wells

Mansfield, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Marie Carroll Wells, 96, will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Rose- Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Reverend Skip Noble and Reverend Pat Cobbs. Burial will follow at Zion Rest Cemetery in Wallace Community, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

Marie was born in Marthaville, LA, and passed away at her home on Sunday, June 15, 2014. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA.

Preceding Marie in death were her husband Alvin Wells; parents Rufus and Annie Ross Carroll; grandchildren DeLana Eads; sister Audrey Wells; and brothers Pete Carroll, Douglas Carroll, and Rachel Carroll.

Those left behind to cherish Marie's memory are her sons Delyn Wells and wife Curtis and Carroll Wells and wife Patricia; grandchildren Donna Pearson and husband Kelly, Dean Wells and wife Sherri, Daryl Wells and wife Dana, Carrollynn Wakefield and husband Kevin, Margaux Kinkade and husband Ron, Sterling Wells and fiancé Julieann Sparks, Wesley Wells, Judy Freeman and husband Joe, and Garry Caston and wife Joyce; grandson-in-law Kerry Eads; nine great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
