SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service celebrating the life of Marilyn Griffin Normand, 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Shreveport, LA with a reception immediately following the service in the Undercroft at the church.
Marilyn was born November 20, 1931 in Frierson, LA to Bertie Kline Griffin and William Haywood Griffin and passed away August 15, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. She was a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School, and longstanding member of the Beautiful Byrd Babes. Marilyn served many years with Demopulos and Ferguson Engineering and Architecture Firm from which she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John L. Normand, Jr.; son, Larry M. Londot; and brother, Haywood Griffin. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jacquelyn Caskey and husband, James, and Juliet Pike and husband, Larry; sister, Daisy Kime; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
