Marion L. Frost

Marion Louise Barker Frost, 87, of Bossier City, LA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at WK-Bossier. Marion, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was born in Bussey, AR, April 11, 1927 to Mabel and Clarence Barker. Marion met and married Lewis G. Frost, Sr in Springhill, LA October 19, 1945. Our mother was an inspiration to us, her four children, and to many other people that are extended family and friends. We were lucky to have had our mother in our lives and we are grateful for the time that we had with her. Mom loved all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and she was always happy to see them all. Mother worked at the Barksdale Base Commissary for 38 years and she enjoyed all the people that she met over those years; she worked until the age of 73 because of the enjoyment of her work. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lewis G. Frost, Sr., daughter Dr. Pamela Frost Williford, sons-in-law John F. Klees, MD, and Herbert R. Shook. She is survived by son Lewis G. Frost, Jr. (Merrill),Harahan, LA and daughters; Priscilla Frost, Minot, ND, Patsy Frost Klees, Gretna, LA. She is also survived by granddaughters Kimberly Williford Braud (Robert), Dawn Labonte Jordan, (Robert), and grandsons Gary Dan Barteet (Brandee), Lewis M. Frost (Christine), Travis R. Labonte, Matthew G. Frost (Stephani), and 6 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson. Mother met Lee Snow and they were constant companions who enjoyed music and many friends for over 20 years until his death Special thanks to Patti and Kavin Lacaze, Shree Raley, Sue Austin Brock, and Dr. Ted Warren for their helping care for our beautiful mother. Mother touched many lives, she never met a stranger and she always had a smile on her face and a flower in her hair. We will miss her. Graveside services will be at a later date.
