Marjorie Ann Courtright Morgan passed away on April 9, 2018 at the age of 87. Marjorie was born in Sarepta, LA on November 22, 1930 to Lloyd and Mary Courtright. At 19, she wed her first and only love, Joseph Morgan, a union that would last 64 years until his death in 2015. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived for her family. She was a talented artist, and was gifted in sewing, ceramics, oil painting, quilting, knitting, and crochet. She made beautiful pieces for all of her family to cherish. She and Joe spent many years in the mountains of Colorado and since his passing, she has longed to be with him. Although we will miss her immensely, she has been reunited with her other half, her Darling, and they are together finally in Heaven. Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Linda Smith Miller and Patty Morgan Connella and son-in-law, Dwayne Connella, and five grandchildren Kevin Smith and wife Jennifer Garlington Smith, Kristi Smith, Chad Smith, Daniel DeSoto, and Rachael DeSoto Hansil and husband Rich Hansil. Honoring Marjorie as pallbearers will be grandsons Kevin Smith, Chad Smith, and Daniel DeSoto and Rich Hansil, Dwayne Connella and honorary grandson Especial Charles Gibson. Visitation for Marjorie will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5-7pm. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 13 at 10:00am at Forest Park East.
