Marjorie Gayle Taylor

Be it known that Marjorie Gayle Taylor went to be with the Lord on the morning of Monday, September 21, 2024. We are so glad she was able to see her husband, Ronald at St. Joseph Hospice before she departed.

Marjorie was born in Ruston, Louisiana on September 26th, 1944. While most of her childhood was spent in Ruston, she lived abroad with her Air Force family in Massachusetts and Germany for some of her early life. Later she moved back to Ruston to attend Louisiana Tech University where she earned her degree in early childhood and secondary education. She met Ronald in school here and later married.

She loved teaching and taught Kindergarten through 2nd grade at Montessori Private, Country Day School, and Coushatta Elementary, to name the most. She had a strong faith in God. She also had a strong reverence for Israel and its people. She attended St. Paul's Episcopal, Christian Center of Shreveport, and Greenwood Methodist over a 40-year period.

Oh boy did she ever love animals, cats especially. I can't count how many cats she had. She spent her last 15 years living pleasantly In Greenwood, Louisiana.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, David and Ashley Taylor all of Greenwood, LA; sister-in-law, Jean Taylor; niece and nephew, Amanda and Jake Taylor of Baton Rouge; brother-in-law, Gary Taylor, and nephew, Zachary Taylor of Bossier City, Louisiana.

There will be a brief graveside service at Rose-Neath Cemetery on Swan Lake Rd. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family of Marjorie are welcome to attend.
