Mark B. Wise

Funeral services for Mark B. Wise will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. John Cannon. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 unto 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Mark was born April 18, 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana and entered into rest June 16, 2014 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana Tech University and was a member of Kappa Signa Fraternity, was a retired State Trooper after 21 years of service and past president of Louisiana State Troopers Association for one term, served in the reserves for the United States Marines, and a police officer for the City of Minden for 6 years. Mark loved music and entertained both young and old as D.J. known as the Big Dawgg for parties and weddings. He is survived by his parents Bobby and Judith Wise of Minden, brothers Michael W. Wise and wife Judilyn of Minden, Matthew B. Wise and wife Karen of Bossier City, daughters Jennifer Margaret Wise of Birmingham, Alabama and Allie Barron Norwood Wise of Bossier City and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kenny Bryce, Tim Wilson, Bobby Taylor, Gary Haynes, Shelby Wise, Preston Wise, Scott Wise, Walker Wise, and Greg Jones.
