Marlene W. Daugherty

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Marlene Wilson Daugherty will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Kris Chenier of Trinity Heights Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Mike Sammons of Hope Alive Church. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Rose-Neath Bossier. Marlene was born March 14, 1937 to Steve and Rose Blue Wilson and died October 24, 2015. She was a retired pre-school teacher at Trinity Heights Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Blanchard. Her parents; husband, Billy B. Daugherty; son, Dennis Ray Daugherty and five sisters precede her in death. She is survived by sons, Greg Daugherty and wife, Kitty, Gary Daugherty, Robert Daugherty, Roger Daugherty and wife, Debbie, Thomas Daugherty and daughter, Susan Williams and husband, Mark, all of Shreveport, LA. Marlene is also survived by sisters, Rubye Florence and Sue Giddens of Vivian, LA, Iris Nelson of Minden, LA; brother, Steve Wilson, Jr. of Vivian, LA; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.   Honoring Marlene as pallbearers, will be her grandsons.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Special Education Sunday School Class at Trinity Heights Baptist Church.
