Marshall Wilson Rayburn

A graveside service for Marshall Wilson Rayburn, 54, will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Andrew Brewster

A graduate of C.E. Byrd High School, Marshall pursued further education and earned an associate’s degree from Bossier Parish Community College. Marshall also successfully earned his Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification. His commitment to excellence and hard work culminated in a successful career as a CAD Drafter, a career he truly enjoyed.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Marshall proudly served in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his dedication to service and his country. His time in the military not only molded his character but also instilled in him a deep sense of pride and discipline.

Marshall had a zest for life, and his hobbies reflected his love for the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, often spending weekends immersed in nature. A passionate LSU Football fan, he could frequently be found cheering for his team with an infectious enthusiasm that inspired those around him. Marshall will truly be missed.

Marshall was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Rayburn; brother, Matthew Rayburn; maternal grandparents, Jim A. “Dude” and Viola Roe, and his paternal grandparents, Okla W. and Sybil V. Rayburn. He is survived by his father, Mark Rayburn; aunt, Melanie Barnes; uncle, Bobby of Smackover, Arkansas, and aunt, Diane Reynolds and husband, Mike of Ruston, Louisiana.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, www.mda.org, or a charity of your choosing.
