Funeral services for Martha McCollum Carlton will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Bill Crider and Rev. Steve Gilley officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Martha was born October 23, 1928 in Washington, DC and entered into rest April 16, 2015 in Minden, Louisiana. She believed in giving back to her community. She served as president of Women in Construction, former director of Minden Main Street Program, longtime board member of The Gaslight Players in Shreveport, and organizer of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Lay Marsh and husband William Edward, Cathlyn Lay Braunig, grandchildren Belle Adonia Braunig, Mary Elizabeth Valadez, Julia Anne Sung, Shawn Joseph Marsh, and great-grandchildren James Sebastian Sung and Jonathan Joseph Sung.   Rose-Neath Funeral Home 211 Murrell Street Minden, Louisiana 71055
