Benton, LA - After many years of extensive world-wide travel, Martha Ree Jones went on her final and most rewarding trip on December 19, 2014. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 11:00 a.m. at Bossier Rose-Neath Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, December 21, 2014 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Beadle pastor of First Baptist Church, Benton, LA. Burial will be at Pilkinton Cemetery in Benton. Martha Rebecca \'Martha Ree\' Jones was born on November 3,1921 to one of the oldest families in Benton. She was a Benton High School graduate and attended Norton Business School. She retired from the Louisiana Department of Welfare and was an active member of the Epsilon Chapter of Delta Rho Delta. Martha Ree was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton since 1940. Throughout her life, she enjoyed many leisurely activities. Her two passions were dancing and traveling. Martha Ree was an award winning Arthur Murray dancer. Her numerous travels included all seven continents, ending with a trip to Brazil at the age of 85. She took delight in gardening, golfing and was an active member of the Cypress Area Garden Club, Palmetto Country Club, and the Bossier Restoration Association. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her sister, Nellie Louise Jones Grisham; nieces and nephews: Karen Fawcett of Tomball, TX; Linda Fawcett Gates and husband Barry of El Paso, TX; Jay Fawcett and wife Amy of Shreveport, LA; Richard Herbert Fawcett and wife Sue of Benton, LA; James Benjamin Keeth of San Antonio, TX; John Earl Keeth and wife Judy of Temple Terrace, FL; Janene Keeth of Cardova, TN; Roy Earl Lee and wife Shiva of Haifa, Israel; Elaine Lee Gray and husband Jerry of Sylvester, GA; Steve Grisham and wife Nancy of Bossier City, LA; Lea Ann Grisham Clements and husband Charlie Joe of Benton, LA; James Hollis Grisham and wife Sherma of Benton, LA; and Linda Grisham Meeks and husband Lee of Baton Rouge, LA. Great Nieces and Nephews: Valerie Keeth Cuddeback and husband Gary, Jennifer Keeth Bretsch and husband Ryan, Chris Keeth, Shaundra Gray Sokolowski and husband Todd, Bryan Gray and wife Stacy, Pamela Fawcett Smith and husband Jimmy, Allen Fawcett, Christopher Gates, Kristin Gates, Michele Vail, Sean Durham, Kathy Jones Harper and husband Don, Debra Jones, Jackie Jones Oswalt and husband Randy, John David Jones, Kristy Grisham Krivjansky and husband Neal, Stephanie Grisham Tuft and husband Will, Hollis Grisham and wife Karen, Gentry Grisham, Maggie Meeks, Nathaniel Meeks and 25 great- great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Jesse Earl Jones and Georgia Magnolia Bryan Jones; brothers: John Paul Jones Sr. and wife, Marjorie, James Earl Jones; sisters; Jessie Marjorie Jones Keeth and husband, James Pleasant, Alice Mildred Jones Fawcett and husband, Aubrey, Leila Mae Jones, Betty Jane Jones Lee and husband, RV; brother-in-law, Jack Nathaniel Grisham and nephew: John Paul Jones Jr. Honoring Martha Ree as pallbearers will be John Earl Keeth, Steve Grisham, James Hollis Grisham, Hollis Grisham, Gentry Grisham, and Nathaniel Meeks. The family suggest memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Benton, P.O. Box 365, Benton, LA 71006.
