Shreveport, LA - A Memorial service for Martha Jane Bailey Moore, 91, will be held at 10:00 on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, Bro. Mike Stowell will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at 9:00 a.m. until service time at Rose-Neath's Southside. Martha Moore went to Heaven at the age of 91 on August 23, 2015. She graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and attended Dodd College and Centenary College of Louisiana. Martha was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Shreveport, LA. She was loved and admired by her family, friends, and peers. She was a very special and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Always willing to listen and to help her family at any time. Always very giving and thoughtful. She had a long career in the Federal Government, beginning at Barksdale Air Force Base and retiring from Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant as Public Information Officer and Chief of Operations; then after a brief retirement, working for Arkla, Inc. and retiring from that company. She was a very hard-working and conscientious employee. She is preceded in death by her grandsons, Chip Arnold and Michael Green; brothers, William Bailey and Charles Bailey and by her parents, Virgil and Adelia Bailey. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Rice and her husband, Larry; son, Carlton Green, Jr. and his special friend, Sheila; very special granddaughter, Kristie Fuller and her husband, Kevin; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A very heart-felt thank you to Martha's son-in-law, Larry Rice and grandson-in-law, Kevin Fuller for their tireless loving care of "Grandmother". In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made in Martha's name to First Baptist Church, Keithville's Building Program, 6295 Williams Road, Keithville, LA 71047 or a charity of your choice. II Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race."
