Martha Ann Thomas

Martha Ann Culpepper Thomas of Shreveport, Louisiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the age of 88. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the  Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jerrell Head.

Martha was born on October 2, 1933, in Cedar Grove, Louisiana, to the late Steve and Eva Culpepper. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Martha was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served her Lord for many years. She was the Director of Calvary Baptist Church Day Care and Pre-school for 33 years. Martha dedicated her life to teaching young children about Jesus and how much He loved them. She loved cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Everett; and her son-in-law, Harvey Dennis.

Left to cherish her precious memory are her children, Jim Thomas (Susan) and Cathy Dennis; grandchildren, Melissa Arnold (John), Jonathan Dennis (Kimberly), Christy Dennis, Stephen Dennis (Emily); and great-grandchildren, Charles Dennis, Everett, Collier, and Laurel Catherine Dennis; her sister, Jo Ellen Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Martha as pallbearers will be Jonathan Dennis, Stephen Dennis, Wallace Funderburk, Jerry Gill, and John Arnold.
