Marveine King

Funeral services celebrating the life of Marveine King will be held Friday, May 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Open Door Fellowship Church in Springhill, Louisiana with Pastor Glady Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Old Sarepta Cemetery in Sarepta, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends at 12:00 p.m. Friday at the church prior to the service time.

Marveine was born January 4, 1943, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and entered into rest May 8, 2023, in Springhill, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Winford and Hawteen Nora Gardner Cody; husbands, E. Nix (Red) Pickard and Paul King, son, Tim Pickard and grandson, Spencer Nix Pickard.

She is survived by her children, Tina Buckner and husband Mike, and Cody Pickard and wife Pamela; brothers, Wayne Cody and John Gardner; sister, Jo Ann McLamore; grandchildren, Dusty Pickard, Marisha Pickard, Cole Pickard, Eligh Buckner (Tara), Reese Pickard (Magan), Shawn Pickard (Brittney), Hannah Pickard (Jaco), Devin Pickard, and Jaxxon Pickard, and a host of great-grandchildren.
