Mary Lena Abington

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Graveside services for Mary Lena Abington, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Forest Park West Cemetery, Meriwether Rd. Lena was born on April 24, 1929 and passed away on June 25, 2016, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert P. Allen and Loyce Norton Allen; her husband, Louis F. Abington; sisters, Virginia Allen and Lorraine Galford; and brother, John Allen. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patricia Beasley and husband Calvin of Bossier City, LA; son, Louis Abington, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Grand Junction, CO; sister, Doris Lomuscio of Dallas, TX; brothers, Robert E. Allen of Sardis, MS, A.B. Allen of Ephrata, WA, Carroll Allen of Tyler, TX and Ben Allen and wife Laverne of Grand Cane, LA; special niece, Sandra Farrell of Salida, CO; grandchildren, Justin McLawchlin, Blake McLawchlin, Ashley McLawchlin, James Abington, and Kristy Prickett and 4 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Kirtan Koticha for his care and compassion during her battle with cancer.
