Mary Louise Armstrong

SHREVEPORT, LA - Mary M. Chaler Armstrong 93, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2016. She was born in Gilliam, LA. And was a resident of Caddo Parish for 90 years. At the time of her death she was residing in Louisa, VA, with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a devout Christian and had attended Brookwood Baptist Church in Shreveport and then Louisa Baptist Church in Louisa, VA. A Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. will be held at Brookwood Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA on Saturday, May 7, 2016 followed by graveside services at Forest Park East. Rev. John Harp will be officiating all services. Survivors include one son, Victor M. Chaler, III, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one daughter, Patricia C. Morgan and her husband, Fred M. Morgan of Louisa, Va.; four grandchildren and seven great-children. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
