Mary Chandler

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Johnson Chandler, will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, at 3:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Rev. Perry Anderson will officiate. A visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.

Mary was born January 14, 1932, to Lamar and Mattie Sue Dean Johnson. She entered into rest on August 29, 2024. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and aunt, who devoted her life to her family. Mary was an excellent cook, she enjoyed making candy and fudge. She also enjoyed crocheting. She will be missed by many, but especially by her family who she loved to cook for.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; Lamar and Mattie Sue Johnson, husband, Otho Chandler, grandson, Brandon Hadden, sister, Carolyn Moak and husband EW Moak, son-in-law, Conny Pearce, and grandson-in-law, Kevin Cockrell.

Left to cherish her memories are her children; Kay Pearce and Garry Chandler and wife Judy, grandchildren; Marc Pearce (Krystal), Mikie Pearce (Ginger), Libby Boyet (Keith), Catherine Cockrell, and Natalie Carter (Matt), by great grandchildren; Chandler, Aiden, Ethan, Everly, Ellis, Emma, Lauren, Arlyn, Fletcher, Pearce, Brooke and husband Glenn Mann II, Paige, and Bo, and great-great grandson Samuel Mann, brother Jerry Johnson and wife Susan, and by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Marc Pearce, Mikie Pearce, Keith Boyet, Robert May, Scott Moak, and Glenn Mann II. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Carter, Bobby Moak, Chandler Pearce, Aiden Pearce, Ethan Pearce, Fletcher Boyet, Pearce Boyet, and Bo Carter.

The family would like to thank James Almond, the nurses, aides, and staff at Pilgrim Manor Nursing and Rehab, and Britsoll Hospice and nurse Shari Powell, for their loving care of Mrs. Mary.
