Mary was born October 18, 1941 to Hubert and Esther Harper in Grand Rapids, Michigan and later settled down in Louisiana. She enjoyed reading God's word, planting flowers, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and taking care of her cats and dogs. She loved celebrating all holidays and made them special in her very own way. Some of her children's fondest memories are spending Christmas eve with their mother, eating her homemade mac-n- cheese! Mary attended and faithfully served at Church of Christ North in Shreveport, LA for 30 plus years with her husband, Charles. She worked at Western Electric Company in Shreveport, LA for many years and ended up retiring as the supervisor of the information booth in Pierre Bossier Mall. She will leave behind a legacy of unconditional love. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Hurbert Owen Harper and Esther Marguerite Wingeier Harper; and brother, Ron Harper. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles Fields; her children, Michael Lorenz Walker, Karen Walker Brogan and husband Bob, Bonnie Walker Campbell and husband Jim, and Stephanie Walker McGuffee and husband Brian; grandchildren, Michael Pilkinton, Chase Dickson, Nicole Massey, Karsten, Madison and Dawson Brogan and Shelby and Tyler McGuffee; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Dickson, Abagail Dickson, Liam Massey, Bowen McGuffee and numerous nieces and nephews.
