Mary Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She lived a life of contentment with no regrets and accomplished all that she intended. She knew that her greatest impact in the world was through raising her children well and she did this with excellence. Her legacy is apparent every day in her grandchildren and great-grandchild, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. She loved God's creation, especially birds and flowers and looked for something to be grateful for each day. She was an accomplished seamstress and great cook with a secret recipe for date bars that everyone loved. She loved local history and was the unofficial family weather reporter. Her priorities in life were without question her faith and family, and she looked forward to being in Heaven with her brothers and parents. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Henry Hall; mother, Ida Martha Hudnall Hall; her brothers, Thomas Franklin Hall, James Hudnall Hall, William Allen Hall, John Olen Hall, Sidney Perry Hall, and Leo Bryant Hall. Mary Virginia is survived by her husband, Phillip Miles Lane; brother, Carl Leon Hall, Sr. and wife, Norma Hall; her sisters, Frances Maureen McGee and Carol Elaine Sneed; her children, Laura Alderman and husband, Kevin Alderman, Holly Bishop and husband, Jerry Bishop, Greg Lane and wife, Jennifer Lane, and Scott Lane and wife, Rebecca Lane; her grandchildren, Bradley Goodwin, Micah Goodwin, Ryan Alderman, Amelia Alderman, Lane Bishop, Haley Bishop, Sara Lane, Cooper Lane, Emma Lane, Jacob Lane, and Annabell Lane; her great-granddaughter, Lila Goodwin; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Honoring Mary Virginia as pallbearers will be Bradley Goodwin, Micah Goodwin, Michael Sneed, Brandon Sneed, Stephen Hall, and Carl Hall, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lifeshare Blood Center or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. The family wishes to thank Dr. Velavolu and his staff, as well as Willis-Knighton North Infusion staff who cared for her with love and compassion for nearly three years. The family is also eternally grateful for the generosity of countless anonymous blood donors who gave her the gift of life for nearly three years following her diagnosis.
