Mary Lee Tolar Rudd

Mary Lee Tolar Rudd, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana. A graveside inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 located at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109.

Mary was born on February 10, 1948 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to James and Mary Jane Tolar.

Mary was a resident of Shreveport. She was married to the love of her life, Robert Rudd, Jr. for 49 years. She received her BSN Nursing Degree from Northwestern State University. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Schumpert Medical Center for 30 years before retiring.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Robert Rudd; son, James P. Creighton; granddaughters, Erin Creighton Kennemer, and Briana Creighton Lawrence; stepdaughters, Terri Rudd Brooks, and Tamara Rudd Gray; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren; brother, James “Jimbo” Tolar and wife, Pat; and sisters, Linda Madden and Elizabeth Tolar.

Mary will be terribly missed by her family and friends, but we will forever cherish the time spent with her and the many memories we shared.
