Mary Freeman Mann

Funeral services for Mary Freeman Mann, 86, will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Chris Wilcott.

Mary was born on March 24, 1937 to Oscar and Nina Freeman in Huttig, Arkansas and passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mary was a resident of Shreveport. She was married to the love of her life, Horace Mann, for 66 years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and cross-stitching. She just loved being at home with her family and was fueled by coffee. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother that will be terribly missed by her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horace Mann; sister, Ethel Weeks; brother, Jack Freeman; and grandson, Heath Mann. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Eddie Mann and wife, Desiree, Karl Mann and wife, Diane; two nieces and three nephews, six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
