Mary Margaret Skinner Parks Alexander “Margaret”, age 90, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on July 5, 2024. She was born on December 17, 1933 in Bethel Community Louisiana to Robert Cleveland Skinner and Minnie Lee Bolton Skinner Creech. 

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Interment will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave in Shreveport. 

Margaret graduated from Grand Cane. After high school she went on to further her education and graduated from secretarial school. She was a proud member of American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, an avid supporter of the Republican party, National Rifle Association, National Wildlife Foundation, Indian Relief Fund, St. Jude, Shriner's, Honorary Sheriff's Deputy, secretary for Texas Eastern, American Air Products, and Jimmy Alexander Enterprises. In her free time she enjoyed reading, watching Magnum P.I. and Mat Dillon. Margaret was best described as a woman who was quiet, particular, OCD, high maintenance, active, and a nature lover. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and read her Bible nightly. She has read the Bible front to back over ten times. Her final years were spent being cared for by her eldest grandchild, Tambra Jean Parks Plunkett “ Tam” and her husband Charles Anthony Plunkett “Tony/Papa”. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her father Robert Cleveland Skinner, mother Minnie Lee Bolton Skinner Creech, stepfather Floyd Augusts Creech, two brothers Robert Nolan Skinner “Dootsy”, Walter Bernard Creech “Buddy” , two sisters Clister Pauline Skinner Turner, Rachel Symanthia Creech Wilson, and two husbands Mircal Thomas Parks Jr. "Jr" and James Elmer Alexander Jr. "Jimmy".  She is survived by her son Cleveland Thomas Parks Sr, daughter Katie LaVern Parks Lee, daughter Amanda June Parks Lewis, Zilda Shyrl Parks Bordelon, one brother Charles Lenoard Skinner “Skeeter”, one sister Katherine Loraine Skinner Childress “Granny Grunt”, a host of nieces and nephews, and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. 

Honoring Margaret as pallbearers will be Marcus Anthony Lewis, Cleveland Thomas Parks, Sr., Robert Glynn Simpson, Jr. "Dakota" and Charles Anthony Plunkett "Tony".

The family suggests donations be made to Indian Relief Fund, National Wildlife Foundation, St. Jude, or Shriners in honor of Margaret.
