Mary was born in Florien on June 28, 1949. Three years ago she was diagnosed with cancer and the doctors gave her one good year. She decided she wasn't done so she traveled to the desert, fished on the outer banks, drove through the Great Smoky Mountains, and enjoyed her life. Mary met Our Lord's loving embrace when she passed peacefully at home with her husband Bill; of 58 years, as well as family by her side on November 20,2023. She passed on her terms and in her home. Mary has been an integral part of the Sabine community as she dedicated her life to servitude. She diligently learned her craft to become certified in Psychiatric care. She retired from her role as a Nurse for the State of Louisiana, and began traveling into peoples homes to deliver psychiatric care as a Home Health Nurse. Ultimately, she went on to be a House Supervisor for a psychiatric hospital in Alexandria. Mary did not just provide care, she formed friendships that lasted her lifetime. The family will gather privately with her closest friends to have a Celebration of Life.
