Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Pace, 82, will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Summer Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 2597 W. Bert Kouns Ind. Loop in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary was born on June 24, 1941 to Bessie King Pace and Jarrell Dean Pace in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mary was a resident of Keithville, Louisiana. She grew up in Corpus Christi and graduated from Sundeen High School in 1959. She spent weekends on the beach at Padre Island with her family. She enjoyed working with people and had careers in the FBI, insurance, and for the Louisiana Office of Youth Development. She enjoyed spending time with family, vacationing, reading, crocheting, watching movies, and playing family games. She loved her pets dearly, and like everyone else, they will miss her dearly.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Bessie Pace; sister, Frances Moseley; and brother, Loyed Pace. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Ruth DeMarco and husband, Robert DeMarco; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Bob DeMarco, Jacob Moseley, Levi Beeson, Seth Jochum, Craig Durbin, Paul Baker, Zach Schmidt, and Jonathan Beeson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Scott DeMarco, Josh DeMarco, Andrew Bostrom,
Bran Bostrom, Austin Smith, and Walker Smith.
The family would like to express special thanks to all of her doctors and nurses and to everyone at Highland Place Rehab and Nursing Center.
